More About Big Buddy

Nuts & Bolts

Big Buddy is run by the Big Buddy Mentoring Trust, a registered charitable trust.

The trust has five trustees: Travis Field (Chair), Andrew Cook, Wally Thomas, Mark Talbot (Treasurer) and Richard Aston, who is also the Chief Executive of the Trust.

Andrew Cook was Board Chairman from 2006 to 2014, giving valuable service to Big Buddy over that time.

We currently employ three coordinators who work directly with Little Buddies, their families and Big Buddies. As we expand, we will employ more coordinators to cover other areas of New Zealand.

Our screening and assessment process is maintained by our CEO and team leader, with on-going advice from contract psychological assessors.

Big Buddy’s financial administration is covered by our part time Bursar. We also have a part-time Media Coordinator; Fundraiser and Administrator.  MEET THE TEAM.
