Big Buddy Foundation
The Big Buddy Foundation was established to fund the growth of the award-winning Big Buddy mentoring programme, and also provide a safety net so its wonderful work can continue for generations.
The Big Buddy Foundation was officially launched by Prime Minister John Key and Willie Apiata VC on the 26th June 2014. Willie Apiata VC accepted the role of Big Buddy to the Foundation. The Trustees of the Foundation are Travis Field, Grant Fox, Jeff Meltzer (chair), Mark Talbot, Clare Wilson and Roger Moses.
Our vision is that every boy who needs one, will have a good male mentor to guide him into adulthood.
Help us build a brighter future for fatherless boys
To make our vision a reality we must greatly expand our mentoring services. The mentoring programme presently covers Auckland and Wellington, where we paired up 57 boys with mentors last year. But more than 130 boys are still on the waiting list, and we know there are hundreds of others in every part of New Zealand who would benefit from having a good man in their lives.
With your support we can reach these boys and make a profound difference to our society.
You can help ensure many more boys grow into happy, well-adjusted men. Pledge a regular monthly or annual donation, or make a one-off donation. As a Big Buddy Foundation benefactor, your gift will help extend the work of Big Buddy and secure its legacy.
If you are interested in supporting the Big Buddy Foundation donate now, or fill in and submit this form and we will be in contact with you.
