On July 17 Big Buddy was privileged to have a young man represent us on TV3’s The AM Show with our CEO Paul Burns. Little Buddy Jeremiah from Papakura agreed to be waiting at his front door for Paul to pick him up at 6am sharp, and get him into the Eden Terrace studio for 7am.
This 15 year old, matched with Big Buddy Peter for 6 years now, did us all proud by displaying a maturity and understanding beyond his years. Jeremiah explained that one of the most important things his mentor Peter has taught him is to realise that our own “way” is not the only way, and that critical thinking, considering another perspective in life is key to being a man.
Well done Jeremiah, Paul, Peter, Maria (Jeremiah’s mum) and all mentors who make a difference.
