An early treat to celebrate his 11th birthday turned out to be a great day out for Levi and his Big Buddy Albert.
Little Buddy, Levi chose a day trip to Rotorua from his home in Hamilton for his birthday outing. He has been matched with his Big Buddy, Albert for 18 months.
The highlight for the pair was the twisting and winding tracks of the Luge where Levi was lucky enough to experience reaching extremely high-speeds. Levi seemed to manage to win each of the runs against Albert! Every time they jumped back on the chairlift to have another go, the match would plan their next route down.
Following a McDonald’s lunch, the pair made their way to the Redwoods Forest for Levi’s first tree walk. He really enjoyed the suspended walking bridge up amongst the trees and forest canopy. Albert reckons Levi would stay all day at the Luge in particular if he could and the pair have agreed to return for a night session in the future.
